In therapy I don't just help people walk through their struggles, I help them discover what those problems are, and where they came from. In the office, I use psychodynamic, existential, and relational approaches to understand both why folks want to change, and why they haven't been able to, fully honoring that reluctance in order to make therapy enduring and empowering, ages 3 through 93, for families, couples, and individuals.

What does it mean to hold space for someone else? As a clinically trained social worker, my goal is to provide a space for you that is safe, supportive, and free from judgment while pursuing growth and change. I seek to help my clients explore and identify sources of stress with a goal of improving their well-being, self-awareness, and coping skills. I enjoy working with people who are seeking to heal from traumatic life experiences, those who are working through grief and chronic stress, and those who are experiencing depression and anxiety.

Life can be incredibly confusing, difficult, and overwhelming. There are so many issues, both in and out of our control, that come up making life harder to handle. Negative thought patterns can change your thoughts, feelings, and actions. This can make relationships and situations more challenging. I’ve lived my whole life in a family of first responders, public servants, and military. There’s no conversation I’m afraid to broach, knowing the depth mental scars can reach. I’m glad you’re here. Seeking help is courageous. I believe that relationships are everything in therapy, so I’ll do whatever I can to get to know you as you are. I also believe that you’re the expert of your life, but sometimes trying to change your life on your own can be like mending a sailboat in the middle of a hurricane. I love being with people through their storms until the way forward becomes clear.

My approach is person-centered and attachment-based with emphasis on techniques from CBT, ACT, and IFS. Also, I have experience working with teens, their families, and young adults (ages 12 to 35) experiencing complex trauma, anxiety, and depression, but I’d love to chat if you think my approach is what you are looking for.

As an individual with personal life experience, I know what it is like to be in a place where you just need someone to talk to that "gets it." I am certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Processing therapy, integrate skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-centered therapy, Reality therapy, and Attachment theory to work with individuals and families who are seeking solace for their mental health needs.

I work with adolescents, teens, and adult individuals. I work through in-person and telehealth platforms, so I can meet the individual needs of my client.
